What information to I need to provide to gain cover?

The normal personal details are required, such as name, address, phone number, age, gender, email and type of cover you would like. Knowing the countries, you intend to visit is an advantage so that you get the cover you need. If you are planning a single trip policy, the dates you are travelling are needed. Please also ensure that you share any medical history as well as if these declared when taking out the policy, you could invalidate your policy.

What is included in the Travel Insurance policy?

It is important that you get the cover that is right for you and the type of trip you are planning.
Most policies include Loss of baggage, cancellations, theft, medical treatment and medical repatriation.
If you are considering winter sports or extreme sports whilst on holiday, you will need to declare as these are not normally included in standard policies.

How many days holiday does the policy cover for?

Annual and single trip policies cover you between 90 and 100 days, so if you are planning on an extended trip for longer, you must declare this when taking out the policy.

When should I take out travel insurance?

We strongly recommend that you take out travel insurance as soon as you have booked your holiday. This means that you are covered in the unfortunate occurrence that you need to cancel your holiday.

How do I make a claim

Ensure that you have the emergency contact number, given to you by, when you are away and that you have your policy number. If it is an emergency we will be the first people who will be able to help.

If bad weather prevents me from travelling can I claim on my travel insurance?

You should contact your airline or travel agent for advice. Our travel insurance policies offer some cover for missed flights due to your journey to the airport being disrupted in certain circumstances, so check when you take out your policy with us. If your flight is delayed by bad weather, then policies may pay a fixed cash sum after a specified number of hours delay, and also if delay caused by bad weather forces you to abandon your trip.
